The man had fired at least one shot at the Kinopolis complex in Viernheim, near Frankfurt.
At least 20 people are said have been injured - many apparently as the result of a release of tear gas in a confined space.
It is unclear how the man died, or if he had taken any hostages.

Strict gun laws yes, but despite popular belief by some people in the US, guns are not banned there nor any other European country.

It is not just in U.S.,
It doesn't have anything to do with "Evil Guns", it has to do with Evil People/Mentally ill people.
The Killers always strike in "Safe Zones" where nobody is allowed to have a gun.

Not only that, take a look at the amount of gun violence in this country compared to all of Europe. Anyone with even half of a brain will see that there is MOST DEFINITELY a problem here. But they'll continue to stick their head in the sand & act like they have no idea what is going on.

Really....since when is this the case! I'm from Europe and never saw any gun store in the Netherlands and no guns allowed...neither in France. Belgium has a different law.

But with these stupid open borders it is like cheese with holes in it!

But of course it is the religion of peace and guns will be blamed!

9/11 was probably also caused by guns and not by Muslim terrorists with using planes as a weapon and box cutters!

The gun problem in the US is represented by young black males engage in gang/drug violence that much up a disproportionate amount of the gun crime. Remove them, and the US has gun violence that rivals many European countries.

Given almost anyone in Europe can by a gun, you can dump full autos to all of them and I doubt the rates will move either direction; it definitely is a cultural issue in the US.

Gun violence is gun violence. It matters not who or what causes it. You don't get to pick & choose & move the goal posts, sorry.
