For something like 20 years the majority of elected Democrats have supported ENDA - the Employment Non-Discrimination Act - which would have given gays and lesbians a small degree of protection against unfair employment discrimination ... and it has been blocked by the Republicans.
Opposition to civil rights for the LGBT Community, opposition to marriage equality, refusal to even recognize the LGBT Community are even enshrined in the Republican Platform.

Being placed on a terror watchlist is not a violation of "due process or anything wtf. So you think making threats to blow people up and having contacts to terrorist organizations does not warrant being placed on a terror watchlist or barring such a person from legally buying firearms?
It has a lot to do with due process once it is used to restrict a constitutional right.
How do you get off a watch list? How do you even find out you are on it?
The watch list is far more than making threats and contacting a terrorist organization. You can also be put on the FBI watch lists for taking a cruise outside North American waters, traveling to the middle east, or traveling to eastern europe.
