Given that many on the Right have publicly and explicitly stated that Democrats and Liberalism are literally destroying America and creating a nation of tyranny, would you be in favor of Repulican or otherwise Right leaning politicians passing laws suppressing the Democrat and Socialst party as well as Liberalism in general?

And by laws of course I mean amending the Constitution, as needed, to allow the suppression of the Democratic Party and Liberalism.

No.

But I would go after specific crimes -- such as treason.

Would you expand the definition of treason? And if so, to what?

Also, assuming you agree that democrats are destroying America, wouldn't not advocating for their suppression be treason?

How about supporting the laws that already exist?

When it comes to the left disregarding the occupation of public parks in DC to protest the 1%, everybody recognized the protest violated existing laws preventing permanent occupation in city parks. Law enforcement was directed by politicians to ignore the violation of laws.

Sanctuary cities. Notable left wing mayors violate federal laws by directing the police to ignore illegals within the city.

The left allows free speech to be trampled by selectively choosing which events will receive appropriate police protection. The San Diego mayor stated he didn't want republican rallies in the city because the topics discussed might be controversial. He selectively is censoring what should be spoken and then directs law enforcement to violate federal law by not protecting free speech.

You poll about succession assumes the answer is to leave the U.S. If the left would stop pouting in the "well" of the house chamber and act like adults, we might begin to act like a cohesive country as we did just a decade ago.

Do people really sit around contemplating things like this or are things just slow?

But assuming that the Left and Democrats and Liberals are not ever going to listen to you, to the law or anyone else, do you support laws suppressing democrats and liberals in general?

It's a valid question given that the Right is constantly making the claim that democrats and liberalism are literally destroying America.

So the obvious question is, how would you stop it?

The Constitution?

Bwahahahahahahaha!

Don't be silly. We are not doing that anymore. At this point the highest and best use of that document would be cut it up into squares and stack it next to the commode, where it can be put to at least some good use.

As far as passing laws, they are not enforced or respected anyway, so why bother? One of the greatest achievements of our founding fathers was setting up a nation based on the law, and not on the rule of man, which was the standard during that more barbaric time. Under Obama and the Democrats, we have rapidly devolved back to the rule of man again.

The Democrats are openly opposed to much if not most of the Bill of Rights and are actively doing everything they can to end any effective protections that it has historically provided (freedom of speech, religion, assembly, the press, right to bear arms, due process, rights not otherwise specified reserved to the states, etc.). So on what basis would anyone with any sense believe that they are going to be restricted or curtailed by new laws?

Passing laws or amending the constitution would be a waste of time. A dictatorship always follows a democratic form of government and we can see the tyranny already swelling up in our own under Barack Obama. This is just the beginning. Written words are not going to stop this now.

The Democrats are not just "destroying" (present tense) our country. They have already destroyed it (past tense).

Me, personally? No. But I'm not throwing out the claims that Republicans and conservatism are destroying America or that they are subjecting the nation to literal "tyranny".

I just think Republican's and conservative's are wrong.
