Footnote: the SKS' popularity on the American market is due in most part to the 1994 Assault Weapons Ban. In stock form with no detachable magazine, no folding stock and no pistol grip it was outside the Fed's definition. The only problematic feature in some states was the bayonet, which purchasers could simply remove.
Gee, maybe that's because anyone could have a gun in their car! Now the cops don't have to be wary of just criminals, but ANYONE and EVERYONE!
You want a gun for home defense? Fine. Keep it in your home!!!
There! Now wouldn't that relieve some of the stress on cops?
There were at least 20 civilians with ammo and rifles over their shoulders in the crowd of peaceful protesters. When the shooting began they ran like everyone else. Some were caught, questioned and released.
The guy in Camo wear, whose picture was plastered all over the Internet and TV immediately turned himself in and was released 30 minutes later, despite that there were witnesses who claimed he fired on the crowd. His gun had not been fired. He's an NRA member. He subsequently recieved hundreds of death threats.
When open carry is legal it obviously makes it more challenging to distinguish between good and bad guys with guns, running in the streets.
The Shooter was a radical and took his anger out on Dallas Downtown. As most radical met this maker.
The Rifle was not a AR 15 as posted and AR 15 is on of the most popular rifles right. The Truth is crimes like this is less than 1% of over all crimes.(or what over that number is)
if this rifle was restricted the Shooter would of used what was available and resorted to bombs.
We can not control Radicles, because we are a open society with our 2nd Amendment Rights. As a side note I no question out 1st Amendment rights too!.
It WAS a military rifle. Just as a musket WAS once a military rifle. It is not currently a military rifle. Yes, it is misleading to state that it IS a military rifle.
Point being, the "assault weapon" hype is nonsense.
I am proud of fellow Americans, and how at least in Dallas, they have put their differences aside, and at this moment only one sided. They truly are coming together as one .
However the acts being committed still in other parts of the Country are still very disturbing. When are these complete moronic idiots, going to realize, you don't solve problems with violence.
If this is how certain people think racial issues will be solved by killing , and violence, they better think again. If they want to fuel the fire, they will, I have friends that right now are pissed off to no end. I also see no respect where Police are concern at all, and I have seen with my own eyes, why do people not listen to the Police, why.
And the fudging media needs to get some brains because they have helped fuel this fire that will continue, until someone with brains can put it out.

I heard about the one who was a suspect that turned in his gun, there were more? Bringing a rifle to a protest march, seriously?
Thank god they didn't start shooting it was difficult enough for police.

Twenty "good guys with guns" and they all ran. Huh.
