Is this just some kind of giant scam being pulled on us? What has happened to our society? How would a person have fared 150 years ago in this country if they stole from others, impregnated multiple women, did not work and demanded they be supported by society. And when they finally get caught red handed breaking the law they scream bloody murder that they are being treated unfairly?

This has NOTHING to do with race because all races in America are guilty of these problems. Where is the incentive to improve one's life?

WHY do they get to vote in elections when they don't and never will pay taxes? Isn't that a complete conflict of interest and therefore unconstitutional?

How are we going to fix this broken society? How can the United States stay "united" when a bigger and bigger burden is being put on the working people who are having a hard time.
"Wards of the state" should have restricted rights. They should be treated as dependents.

When we talk about equality, we're talking about equality under the law! We're not saying that a desk clerk contributes equally to society as a heart surgeon.

At the end of the day however, if you're not a dirtbag, you should treat the desk clerk no differently than you would a surgeon when it comes basic human interaction. Frankly, I don't care if a man is an engineer or an unskilled laborer with a fifth grade education. If they both show me respect, I'll treat them with equal fairness.
Yes, everyone should be equal under the law and should be entitled to certain inalienable rights.

I completely agree with this, however should there be minimum standards for citizens of a country. Should there be a minimum amount of responsibility? What does it mean to be a citizen?

You should not be eligible for a "goody basket" of benefits just for being born here. Everyone should be required to pay their dues.

The cause of all of our so-called "society's" problems is from the flawed foundation of "our" government. It operates on the immoral premise that IT, thus "we", have a "right" to initiate force upon others to impose our will with violence, aggression, and coercion.

With this fictional "right", we are merely thugs and tyrants warring over control of this "justified" aggression so that we can impose our will upon others through force. In our "society", we are only "equal" in the sense that we all condone imposing our will upon our neighbor by participating and supporting this "government". We are all "equally" thugs and tyrants towards our neighbors.

Unless our "government" and people embrace and obey the non-aggression principle, we will remain as barbaric and enlightened as any animal. We have not evolved in any real sense from the first moment that we stood upon two legs.

The only "equality" that can be achieved by a species of unique individuals is to maximize freedom for each and every individual. That state is reached only when no person, group, or government has a fictional right to initiate force upon any person, group, or government.

The question: Should everyone really be treated equally?

The answer : Only if they deserve to.

The problem: There are some who wanted to be treated more equal than others.

The solution : Do not let the problem become the solution.

Equality is a myth. Always has been, always will be. We pretend like we are all equal but we also all know that is a lie.

Equality is a central tenet on which this nation was founded.

Without equality, the concept of being American is meaningless.

But its a myth. Biology and society ensure that equality can't be achieved. The best we can hope for is equality under the law and, let's be honest here, does anyone even think that is realistic?
