Deterrent means you threaten to use the gun the way it is intended to be used.
So, your point is, there were no killings prior to guns....AND that just because people own guns, they will evidently kill someone....

LOL, I know that guns may make it easier to kill, but there intended purpose is not to kill just because you say so.

Features of semi-auto assault rifle
1. Can be fired as fast as you can pull the trigger, with a very light and fast trigger action.
2. Has very little recoil making them very accurate and easy to handle.
3. The lack of recoil means shots can be fired much more quickly and accurately than other type of guns, with little or no fatigue to the person firing it.
4. Hence making them ideal for mowing down large numbers of people

Not true. I have heard these silencers or suppressors fired in person at a gun range, and they are extremely quiet. Somewhat surprisingly they are as quiet in real life as they are in the movies. Whatever you call it, the sound is almost totally eliminated and all you hear is a click when the shot goes off.

No such thing as semiautomatic assault rifle! LOL Assault rifle is fully automatic.

is this some liberal lingo? Semi-automatic fully automatic rifle?

Huh? Where did I say there were no killings prior to guns? Of course people have killed each other before, with arrows for instance. What has that got to do with anything?

Nor did I say that they WILL kill someone. But it's pretty obvious that someone with a gun is more likely to shoot someone than someone without a gun. After all, making killing easier for the killer has been one of the biggest advantages from the very invention of guns on. No more risk of getting injured oneself, no more looking the victim in the eye, etc.

In other words, what you said was meaningless and you're doubling down.

I would appreciate some grand usage of Firearms...beyond killing..as Back in ancient time..natives were able to kill animals prior to firearms..? I'm confused..ALL firearms are meant to KILL..whether it's to kill an animal for food..right on down to killing a neighbour ( Hatfield and McCoys scenario) or defend oneself...So once again 'plain yourself?? TYIA

BBM~~ Guns are somehow a multipurpose tool??..like a _______ ( please fill in the blank) yet does far more damage at a much greater SPEED!!

Maybe obvious to you; however, hard fact indicates the contrary: legal gun owners are 8 times LESS likely to commit any crime than the general public.

In that case, why the vast majority of 300 million guns haven't killed anybody? Shouldn't blood flow non-stop if anything you said were remotely true?
