The Great Society so called has steered the weak into a take and take from producers mentality that is unhealthy for all involved. The black family has been crushed because the implementation of the GS either by purpose or not has made the black Father more of an inconvenience than a material asset.

I think struggling small businesses existed even in the 1960s. Many of the problems in inner cities coincided with the collapse of industry, outsourcing to other countries which led to lack of jobs and securing an economic base for many people. But maybe small businesses didn't have as many hardships then.

I meant the endless regulations and licensing requirements for everything. You need a licence just to braid hair nowadays.
