well, if black is 13% of the population, I guess they are overrepresented in the military according to your article. (Black people - 17.8%)

Numbers do lie sometimes, just sayin' lol example Hindus have the highest per capita income LOL I am skeptical about this. Just being honest

Numbers changed after 9/11.

The only Hindus I know that vote GOP are wealthy ones that came here as adults (either on an education/work/investor visa of some kind) and live in relatively liberal areas such as California, Western Washington, the NYC metro, and the like. No Hindu that I know that grew up in the rural South or Midwest identifies with the GOP. Personally, I lean centre-left on social issues and centre-right on fiscal and economic ones; and as of now, my vote is going to either Gary Johnson or Hillary Clinton.

And what's the percentage of whites in the military compared to their demographic?

white people are overrepresented as well. I have been saying this many times in this forum already.

Not sure why you keep on arguing with me, maybe I didn't make myself clear? If so, I apologize.

The ONLY point I am making here is, one minority group should refrain from telling another minority group that they are better than them. 1. it may not be true 2. they all have different struggles.

Hindu-Americans have the highest per capita income of any group, and the highest education levels, and Minimum crime. One in seven Himdus are entrepreneurs.

its a cherry picked us minority where many are here because they were some of the best and brightest in tech and science fields.

Attempting to represent selection bias and correlation as instead being due to their culture is however a good example of the bad habit in the us of lacking math and critical thinking skills....but drawing conclusions anyway.

I think you guys are missing the obvious. Many are in the medical field, in particular, physicians and specialists.
They are, for the most part, very self disciplined which greatly accounts for their success.

Both viewpoints are correct: culture IS important. But as far as Hindus, US immigration policy basically only lets in the ones who are already highly educated and highly skilled (aided by greedy companies abusing the H1B program). In the UK you'll find a different story. Over there their economic and social status is more comparable to blacks in America.
