The left today, they have morphed into the strange thinking party of self detruction, they would love to see a cold war again.. they didn't live through the Cuban Missile Crisis where we were at the brink of Nuclear war with Russia, known then as the United Soviet Socialist Republic. It almost happened folks..complete destruction, JFK a democrat , when the democratic party was for the working men and women , saved the lives of all Americans, millions of us owe our lives to JFK. Pro-Trump campaigners have canceled a GOP pledge to supply Ukraine with lethal weapons during a committee platform meeting on national security, disturbing Republican hawks who have consistently called for a more aggressive anti-Russia posture.
“The Trump campaign worked behind the scenes last week to make sure the new Republican platform won’t call for giving weapons to Ukraine to fight Russian and rebel forces, contradicting the view of almost all Republican foreign policy leaders in Washington,” the Washington Post reports.
“Throughout the campaign, Trump has been dismissive of calls for supporting the Ukraine government as it fights an ongoing Russian-led intervention. Trump’s campaign chairman, Paul Manafort, worked as a lobbyist for the Russian-backed former Ukrainian president Viktor Yanukovych for more than a decade.”
The controversial clients Manafort has represented have paid him and his firms millions of dollars and form a who’s who of authoritarian leaders and scandal-plagued businessmen in Ukraine, Russia, the Philippines and more. On some occasions, Manafort has become involved in business deals that have sparked litigation and allegations of impropriety.
Thanks -- the second link makes it sound like thousands of NATO troops have been fighting insurgencies in Afghanistan -- we certainly haven't been hearing this on the MSM, or I've just missed it.
