Wonder why it took him so long to say something?

Now before people accuse me of being a spoil sport and the like, I'm just questioning those who have money and fame, who could have spoken out years ago and made a difference, now suddenly caring about these things.

I remember an article in Sports Illustrated a long time ago, that discussed the horrifying crime of kids killing each other for their sneakers.

When Jordan was shown the article, all he could muster was some brief words of sympathy, but he never spoke out about it or condemned it. Where was all of this decades ago?

I don't know what he is being praised for It was basically a very expensive #alllivesmatter..if he really wanted to show something he would've pulled out of investing in prisons and invest in black businesses

In his burgeoning bank accounts. Anyway seems like two very different issues to me.

He was in the spotlight and not irrelevant. Come on - you know how self-centered he's always been.

The guy hasn't a single redeeming quality outside the lines of a basketball court.

It's amazing how the same people who praise him for something so meaningless will rip other athletes for being similarly arrogant and insolent.

Allen Iverson gets ripped, and he's a much better person than Jordan is.

Either way, he is doing something positive putting his money where his mouth is. I don't know but its probably a tough position being a black celebrity and taking a stand on this issue. I thought he handled it well.

It wouldn't be so tough if he had any practice at it.

One of your posts I can agree with... but I won't complain about Jordan since he backed it up with some cash.
