Mmmm yes, it's trendy amongst the leftists to throw a fit at any reference to anything Confederate. Regardless of context. They even get nauseous at symbolism from the American Revolution , and call it racist, i.e. the Gadsden flag. (which la still in jar NJ the US military, the Navy in particular). The CSA Battle Flag and Naval Jack (both a 14 star Victoria cross) are widely in use with various units of the Army as well..

This pansy trend of falling into a fearful , apologetic fit at any historical reference from a period of American history is what I find contemptible.Drinking the leftist Kool Aid of revisionist history , political correctness and slobbering patronization of those who are looking for ways to be offended is all this amounts to.

I don't like the Confederate flag. This is why. It represents a secessionist moving rooted in trying to keep slavery around. It is in the Articles of Secession. Yes, the Founding Fathers owned slaves. They didn't try to secede from a country with the rooted intent to keep slavery around.

Then why do you stay in Atlanta? You should move north.

I work here. You go where the work is. As it is, I don't see any Confederate flags in Atlanta proper. I don't see them being flown around in Cobb or DeKalb counties. I see it alot in Paulding County and Douglas County.

I actually have tried to move north. However, since I'm here and I have work, might as well make the best of it. That doesn't mean I have to like the Confederate flag.

Something else. A majority of Black Americans are southerners. I don't see them expressing any kind of love for things Confederate. In fact, most born and bred southern Blacks I've met have a disdain for the Confederate flag. They are, by birth, southerners. I don't hear any "It's my southern heritage" coming from them.

Can you prove that?

If someone doesn't like the Confederate flag, why would they be burning a USA flag? Last I checked, the CSA was an enemy combatant of the USA.

I find it highly stupid to fly a Confederate flag in Philadelphia. Philadelphia is where both the Declaration of Independence and U.S. Constitution were adopted. Flying anything related to the Confederate flag in Philadelphia is a slap in the face.

And when Mississippi's state flag was adopted, it was adopted around the time of Jim Crow.
