You bigots on this thread have been taking the heat off your butts for too long. It ends here and now.

Exactly.

But folks like you have a hand in said divisive garbage.
The numbers of "folks like me" are growing big time.

Contrary to "popular belief," they're declining.

...“It would be only fair to the reader to say frankly in advance that the attitude of any person toward this story will be distinctly influenced by his theories of the Negro race. If he believes that the Negro in America and in general is an average and ordinary human being, who under given environment develops like other human beings, then he will read this story and judge it by the facts adduced.

If, however, he regards the Negro as a distinctly inferior creation, who can never successfully take part in modern civilization and whose emancipation and enfranchisement were gestures against nature, then he will need something more than the sort of facts that I have set down.

But this latter person, I am not trying to convince. I am simply pointing out these two points of view, so obvious to Americans, and then without further ado, I am assuming the truth of the first. In fine, I am going to tell this story as though Negroes were ordinary human beings, realizing that this attitude will from the first seriously curtail my audience.

W. E. BURGHARDT DU BOIS

Atlanta, December, 1934”

Excerpt From: Du Bois, W. E. B. (William Edward Burghardt), 1868-1963. “Black reconstruction; an essay toward a history of the part which black folk played in the attempt to reconstruct democracy in America, 1860-1880.”
Even better would be to read this entire essay. It's fascinating how some folks in the present day are expressing their points of view in very similar ways, different folks, although influenced by the same underlying attitudinal belief systems. Some of the phrasings are nearly identical.

If anyone does read this essay, I'd be very interested to hear insights, thoughts or impressions. Please feel free to direct message me or respond here if it's alright to do so. Thanks & respect.

History's Truths ... Expanded

One need only look with open eyes and open mind, and the long history of black people existed in Africa long before the system of slavery.
Over the many centuries of America, black people have asked nothing of white society other than to honor and respect America's own system of the United States. Blacks have only asked since America's inception to respect its own Constitution, and regard it for All.

For some reasons, the so much of white society had, as some still this day have, a difficult time with such simplicity.

Too many white people spend more time grandstanding, when the stand they claim themselves so grand upon, is a foundation built by black people. American did not become the most prosperous nation simply by the acts of white people, it became what it grew to be by the labors of black people, who's performance is the basis of American's Historic rise in productivity.

It is through the avarice heart of the white society, that he hoarded, coveted and by the acts of greed took claim to all by and through acts of violence of every sort, entwined with brutality in inhumane treatment of a people based solely on their skin color and ethnicity. Yet, his reliance was so strong and his fear of loosing control over those whom he relied upon terrifies so many of his ethnic kind even to this day.

White society continues to try and shut out minorities by any and many means. This current society is blind among the poor whites, and the working poor whites. They don't even acknowledge they were and are considered collateral damage by the wealthy whites. When it became possible by Constitutional Law Amendments, to pave a way for minorities, women and yes, poor whites to gain means for middle class lifestyle by and through the work and protection of Unions, The "elite of the white society, convinced the gullible of the poor white society to abandon Unions, he was so crafty in the guile of doing so, poor white people even began to believe in fighting against Unions. As a result, companies were shipped away, wages made stagnant and the cost to get higher education was wipe off the accessible levels of the poor. Ronald Reagan, made sure of that by de-funding the State Universities and adding fee's while at the same time discrediting the AA degree that was issued by City Colleges, along with down-rating the value of vocational and technical programs. The poor whites still have not figured it out, nor have they even realized they are collateral damages.
He found a ways to appease them, by "making "CREDIT" available, thus again, turning the poor whites into "indentured servants" unto the financial system which is controlled by the White Elite Establishment. The poor white has been duped to blame his condition any place and every place except on the White Wealthy Elites, who continue to this day to function by the same premised business model as that of the former Plantation Owners.

MLK tried to inform the poor whites, uneducated and destitute whites, but through their own ignorance, they fought the information and refused to gain the knowledge and to this day, they spin in an anguish, with misplaced, misdirected contempt which has driven them to levels of madness of every sort.

There has always been a segment of white people who did not like the vile of slavery, segregation, they did not like black codes and they did not like Jim Crow, but so many of these people were often times made afraid to speak their voice or show their humanity and sense of human equality with black people, for fear of reprisals from the Group following racist whites and those who were extreme violent racist whites.
There have been whites who found ways to be with a sense of compassion, some were of compassion but could not shed the delusion of being superior, yet they were socially interactive, then there were those who simply knew that human beings are all equal in the eyes of God, and no measure of money, material things, or gathering of information could ever make any one human being more important as person, then another.

Today, the craziness of some who continue to want to think their money, or what title they hide behind is of some sort to make them more than others. Such ones are generally fools unaware of their own frailty within life. But when Old age comes a knocking, many of these same ones are more than delighted and grateful to have black people be attentive to their health and maintenance care. Even in the middle of the slavery, segregation and the craziness of Jim Crow, it was black people who raised many whites and taught them humane values, which in some cases was sadly groomed out of them, through the University Mind Altering Games on though to the status illusions of labels of Profession. Age again, brings many of those right back to the raw basics of life, when they seek out care providers and often times those providers are black people.

White society often tries to take great delight in pursuing a litany of services, and they list those as a mark of status, without ever being aware, that such services would be sorely lacking if there were no black people willing to take those jobs and keep those industries thriving. Still, white society scoff's at paying these people a living wage.
That's again, the Haughtiness that is infected within their hedonism of self consumption which feeds the sloth they relish. This among the fact of racist foundational attitudes is the crux within the mentality which drives so much of the economic imbalances within society.

No one can undo the past !!!!!!! But we need not continue with things that are unequal, non functional and regressive, we need to learn, that as one goes so does all when it comes to the push to make an American Standard that works for all.
When our system function with the intent of the Constitution and it's Amendments, we all will move forward as an American people.
This mean, the historical covert manners of slander toward black and about blacks, the old Jim Crow discredit and denigrate blacks mentality has to become vanquished, white society has to be conscience of what was and what is relics groomed from the segregationist era as well as to be able to discern what are remnants within their ideology about people that was and is influenced by Jim Crow edicts which dominated so much of previous systems and conduct of white society.

Those who come with a mindset to quickly try and dismiss black people concerns to label them as seeking excuse, or making excuse, must learn how to listen with an ear to understand what is being said. They too have to learn how to work on themselves when they hear and learn of such things being said. There is too the humanity factor, which too must be willing to reach out with a spirit of equality to not only embrace, but share, teach, learn and grow interactively.
White people can't expect the full society of all black people to be as adept in some areas as whites people, "considering the facts" that whites who have had centuries to learn and grow with full support and all the accouterments society has to offer, it is an insult to the claimed intellect of white people, to have such expectation followed by their having such widespread negative critique of blacks who have not had centuries of such support or centuries of such accouterments society has to offer. If anything, whites should be of high regard for the pace in which black people have made up advances in the mere 52 yr since Civil Rights Act, and the 62 yrs since the first laws of integration Brown vs Board of Education which set a pace for fairness in education, which did not actually find full school integration until 41 yrs ago, in 1971. [quote]

Black people are not asking white people for their money, they are simply seeking eyes that respect, words that show regard and a disposition which conveys equality without a sense of ethnic measurement. White no black is unaware that white society became wealth by and through the history of black labor. Yet, black people have not said, "give us your money", they simply say, "abide by The Constitution in and through all things"

Government social programs have and continue to try and bridge many gaps, not just for black, but for the millions of poor whites who sprang from indentures as well as forms and conditions of impoverishment as well as bias and bigotry.
therefore, dispense with the craziness of delusion pretenses as if black people are the biggest users of public services, because fact and truth is, white people use public services at a rate ranging from 4:1 up to 7:1 and higher in some areas. That kind of mis-information spread about blacks was done during Jim Crow, when the Southern Democrats resented seeing or even the remote thought of black people getting any benefits assistance.

IF one has nothing to contribute or cannot understand what it written, why insult yourself?
Contribute to the dialog is a suitable thing to do.

First I am not a bigot simply because I dont subscribe to your view of race relations. Let me ask you a question, if your unwilling to let it go then what is it you want? Revolution? Not sure what you see the end goal of all of this is. Do you want to tear this nation apart?
