Australia gun law was a gun buyback not a ban.

Mandatory gun buyback <> ban.

Also it's BUYBACK not "take away". "Mandatory buyback" means if you don't want to sell, they will send in the SWAT team. "Take away" means they send in the SWAT team immediately. See the difference?

Right wing gun nuts are just crazy thinking the government will take their guns.

How would that work for sex offenders? No more sex offender registries? I don't think I could get behind that.

As for lengthening their sentences, I doubt that would be legal after their initial sentencing.

She, who. The Bungler of Benghazi-gate? The one who pimped the State Department while at the "helm". The one who let all of our enemies have at State Dept. secrets because she had a "private" server to hide her pimping of the State Department? The one who runs a Tax Exempt Charitable Foundation that passes through less than 7% of receipts to charitable causes (as per Charity Watch, who audited the "Foundation")? That "her"? She's done, she just doesn't know it yet.

Please explain, how there is a difference ?
My AR is not for sale, if by law I am forced to sell it in a "buyback" to the government and can no longer own one , isn't that a ban ?

It IS a Ban, it just wasn't a Confiscation. HUGE difference.

I am not a liberal so I don't know the difference.

In their mind, buyback<>ban. Look the characters. Is the word "buyback" the same as "ban"? No, so nobody is coming for your guns. I think that's how they think. As long as it's not an outright confiscation and ban or as long as the regulation doesn't say the word "confiscation" or "ban", it is not a ban.

Does gun registration make any difference in deterring crime?

If that doesn't, how does a sex offender registry work differently?
