Refusing police officers service has been happening fairly often lately. Happened just recently with a chain restaurant in my area. Not surprisingly, I just heard on the news today that another chain, Roy Rogers, is offering free meals to cops. No doubt the franchise operators will benefit from an increase in business, and we may see other chains do the same.
