But we keep hearing from the right that unemployment numbers are bogus and that the
country has gone to hell under Obama and everyone is out of work. And now you're all
saying it's impossible to find any seasonal workers in Florida?

Or is trump just too cheap to pay a proper wage?

How many people whining about Trump legally hiring workers have applied and been rejected? If that is the case, you have a right to complain. More likely than not, that is not the case.

Isn't it the Democrats that are supposed to have those higher educations? Geesh!

The problem isn't Trump, and most of us know what the problem is, the "sour grapes" of the immature.
excuse me I am from Florida live in Orlando and forever in Miami- and that is completely UNTRUE!! I know kids (im 63) who work in hotels - amusement parks- stores, parking valets - movie theaters- and that is just untrue- years ago all of south beach closed 6 Mon out of the year-- think they did not run them during season? of course they did! I know people in the gulf side-- restaurants etc - snow birds season is money making time-

Maybe Trump could hire Americans instead and then we could get a thread going about how he's racist for not hiring foreigners?

this is rubbish, since you know nothing about how seasonal operations work. yes there are young people working all over florida in LONG TERM full time positions. meaning they dont have to go looking for work EVERY SIX MONTHS when seasonal operations shut down for the season.

Gee, now how could one go about making them more attractive? There must be some way. Some incentive, perhaps one expressed in some sort of numerical figure...

Well-made point. In fact, it's completely unfair that CEOs shouldn't be held responsible for anything.

well then, when you come up with a way to make seasonal jobs more attractive, be sure to let the companies that run seasonal operations know. they would be more than happy to accept your input.

Yes, it is. His hypocrisy is boundless and unrepentant, much like most of the right wing.

Very classic it is OK and moral when I do it, but not when anyone else does it. Carrier's bottom line must take into account hiring and employing American workers - but not Trump!

None of this will matter.

Facts, reality, observations... On the Republican side, none of that need matter. It hasn't applied in a very long time. Fox News has trained its demo well.

They will be given another enemy/phrase/story/narrative when this one wears out.
