Oh, NO! Specifically which influential liberals have been saying these things to us?

regardless of you labeling her a progressive. Dash has basically been an attack dog and has gone after the left on every issue.

The whole "she isnt one of us" argument doesnt really work here.

Lets all be honest and say she just doesnt represent the best of the conservative/right wing ideology. Fox news shouldnt have tokenized her or any one for that matter.

I honestly think it will never end, but it's not always nefarious. One time at a hotel, I tapped on the shoulder of a black guy who had his back turned to me because I needed help with my luggage. He turned around and was anything but a hotel worker (there was actually a police chief's convention at the hotel)....I was beyond embarrassed, and felt horrible. I apologized and walked away as fast as I could but I'm sure the guy had to be perturbed.

Any of these situations, I think the healthiest thing for the black person to do is laugh about it. Seriously. Have enough confidence in yourself that you're not going to let other people's social gaffes effect you. I know it's easier said than done, but you can't let these things control how you feel about yourself. Raise above it....be the bigger person.

I guess you've missed the narrative or, more likely, are just too blinded by ideology to see/hear it.

This poster along with many others base their opinions of blacks strictly on stereotypes influenced by prejudice. More white folks are on public assistance then anybody else in America but this poster's world view only allows him to see blacks in a negative light. Even when his/her outrage is manufactured and based off lies.. These types never talk to us and always talk at us...
And every single black Democratic politician does nothing but talk about getting more welfare benefits for their constituents.

I do identify more with the libertarian viewpoint now days, because they promote liberty which SHOULD be a conservative value. I also believe that the free market has most solutions, wars are fought for profits, and I don't support cronyism. I also feel libertarians, and even constittutionalist represent everything a conservative should be.

With that said, black conservatives are an absolute joke. Most of them are no intelligent, have little to no insight on issues, and represent poor logic or critical thinking when it comes to issues. Stacy Dash is a perfect example of the issue with black conservatives. Steeped knee deep in intellectual dishonesty, does nothing but bash black people, but the most important thing:

OFFERS NO SOLUTIONS

Seems like most "liberals who like cops and war" aka republicans are so willing to give idiots like Stacy Dash a platform. But she has shown she knows nothing about economics, noting about social issues, nothing about economic conditions in the ghetto, nothing about history that drives most contemporary black thought, and nothing about noting. She is literally there to bash black people. She has no expertise on anything she talks about.

I do think the free market way is the best way to go for black people. But black people must first understand why the free market works for them. Whenever black conservatives get on air, they always have the chance to promote why the free market works. Yet they never do. Just a short piece bashing black people, and that's it.

So it seems like the whole idea of black conservatism is to be shameless apologist for statism, authoritarianism, and totalitarianism. And that's about all they stand for. It becomes painfully obvious when you try to reach out to other black conservatives, and you realize there really isn't anything of substance when it comes to black conservatism.

This is why the face of black conservatism must change. I feel black liberals are quick to criticize Stacy Dash, or some other idiot black commentator. But black conservatives aren't doing it. And that needs to change. Black conservatism isn't just being shills for the status quo. It is based on principals, and I feel black conservatives need to get back to these principals.

As an involved member I understand the platform. That's why I'm asking you who specifically is selling this to black folks? There isn't a government provided assistance program that's specifically for black folks anyway. I would like to know who you heard saying what?

Then you should get used to the current state of affairs for the black community, because that's your only alternative to conservatism.
