But as for the quote in this thread, even if you hate the President and Hillary, the quote still makes sense. Even if you don't like her qualifications, having been in the White House for 8 years as First Lady, a US Senator, and the Secretary of State are some rare qualifications. No?

It amazes me the mental hoops people will jump through to hate Obama and Clinton.

To be fair, what do you expect Obama or anyone else to say about Hillary? That's she's merely competent? That's she will do a decent job as president? Of course you're going to praise her as much as possible whether its true or not. Obviously you're going to say great things about the person you're trying to pump up and get the average American to vote for.

The same thing happened last week at the GOP convention where people pumped Trump's tires as much as possible and really it was FAR LESS believable. Trump REALLY doesn't look like a guy who is capable of becoming president or is even competent and calm enough to do so. I find it hard to believe that if he actually became prez that he would seriously be running the show rather than having a bunch of people running it for him. Trump is a frontman, the Billy Mays of politics if you will where people behind him will give him a product and he'll go out and sell it to the people.

I seriously doubt that Trump knows much of anything on various issues that a prez has to deal with which is probably why his speech was so basic and general and why the entire GOP convention was more about attacking the other candidate than talking about themselves. Call the Democrat convention pandering or whatever you want, but at least they talked about REAL LIFE ISSUES and highlighted various issues that they were concerned about and wanted to fight for. Can't say the same for the GOP convention.

Obama recognizes that a significant amount of Americans are ignorant and vote like sheep. After all, he was voted in a second time. He's just continuing to say the things his puppet masters tell him to say.
