If she runs in 2017 it's unlikely she'll win. Wouldn't be surprised is she changes her mind and decides not to, but it's doubtful her huge ego and lack of care for what her countrymen and women are going through will allow her to resign.

I doubt she actually believes that. It's just a way rationalize the policy. Germany can get qualified new workers anytime it wants them. Nobody with a functioning brain believes that welcoming random migrants is a good way to build a work force.
Absolutely right!!! To some extent usa has a better immigrant vetting process than most europe. Developed countries should bring only immigrants who know the native language, educated & show signs of assimilation with western values. Give them temporary visas like student, work permit, business & closely observe their behavior, progress to decide if they are worth getting permanent status. I have been through the entire process & it has made me a better, responsible person. I love this system & would highly recommend it. Adding filters will get rid of all the junk.
To me, moving to west from a third world country should be earned, like you have to work hard to get into ivy league schools like MIT. If they started admitting anybody, MIT will no longer be one of the best. Thats whats happening to all these european countries. They went from Harvard to University of Phoenix by admitting just anybody.
I don't know how the administration can pretend it doesn't see what is happening in Europe so I must conclude they either don't care or they want it to happen.

They're waking up, but unless the Muslim invaders are sent back to their native countries Germany's culture will be ruined compared to what it was. Most of them are not even from Syria, and many have proven they are there to commit heinous acts.
I served three of my six years of military service in southern Germany during the late 1980's and it was the most wonderful place I've ever lived. Makes me sick what Merkel and her E.U. partners have done to Europe, including my beloved Bavaria. The Europeans will take care of the problem somehow, but doing it halfway wont be good enough. If the Muslims get to stay European culture will be destroyed as we knew it. More European women will be gang raped, killed, pushed in front of subways, etc., and there'll be many more terrorist attacks. They must go, asap.
I presume the Turkish workers imported post-war were so successful integrating into German society that the recent immigrants were believed to do the same. I believe other Muslims have been immigrating to German for some decades now without issues.
You know we had a similar problem in Miami in the 1980s post-Mariel. Bad cubans mixed with good cubans and the crime rate soared accordingly. It was resolved in a few years by heavy policing and stiff penalties.
We are on the outside looking in at selective sources. I cannot state with certainty what is the issue or how prevalent. Germans and particular those who have access to the necessary data are best suited to judge.
I don't really understand why Merkel is blamed for the refugees entering Germany. Yes, she did allow a couple of tens of thousands who were stranded in Budapest into the country. However, the remaining 99% of refugees that entered Germany have done so in accordance with the dublin regulation, the Geneva convention and the German constitution. They would've come anyways, no matter what Merkel did or did not do.
Remove Merkel and replace her with whom? Which party should run Germany if not the CDU and their coalition?
Tell me. Because apparently, you know more about who should be running Germany than the Germans.
If the Germans want to get rid of Merkel, they'll do so. If they don't, they won't. So if they haven't, they must not be ready to dump her.
So as an American, why are you so concerned with what Germany is doing?
With all the growing trouble coming from usually young Muslim dudes: the Germany people NEED to figure out some way to pitch Merkel, I'm 100 percent sure the locals are smart enough to get a better leader. Why I'm worried about it is I DON'T want a Europe run by Islamist pig losers cause that part of the world would need to also be watched by the US, locked and loaded.
