This is the third post about Bernie's new house. His wife sold the old family vacation home and bought one they like better.
He has a cheap ass condo in DC and a house in Vermont. too.
Hillary had to buy a house in NYC because no condo board in Manhattan would let them in the building due to trouble with SS going through everyone's groceries and shopping bags.
Lmfao...yeah, ok.
If you believe that, I have a bridge to sell you, for the modest price of 600K.
I don't think the people criticizing him begrudge him making that money, they begrudge people who talk about how everyone should be equal while living above most people.
Yah I get that, I'm just adding my perspective. I don't think everyone should be equal and I don't much care what Bernie himself (or his fans) might say about the matter, so fitting this into my view of economic circumstances works just fine. They're just a couple spending money as self-interested economic entities. Does anyone really believe that "equal" stuff?
Actually, now that I think about it, thinking back to Bill Whittle's great essay on capitalism from some years ago and how socialists believe we should all earn "the salary" (regardless of our role, contribution, subjective worth, etc.), I suppose Universal Basic Income (which will be one of the big political fights of the next decade and beyond) is or will be an attempt to give everyone "the salary" and make outcomes "equal."
600k is nothing for a home...at least where I'm from. I don't think there actually are even any houses that cheap where I live.
Anyway, does that sellout even have followers anymore? Is he even trying anymore at this point?
Off subject , but really ? Does everyone have $200k a year incomes ? I thought my wife and I did okay, making slightly less than that (combined) but owning a $600k home is something we just couldn't do, nor want to.
You're in Texas though...everything is ridiculously big and opulent there
I think you meant "affordable."
