It's typical treatment of any drunken vandal anywhere in the world, including the US. Its bizarre to see some people try to justify it.
There is no proof they vandalized anything. Have you seen photos, videos? Spoken to eyewitnesses. All I see is some guys walking to a cab, sitting on a curb and being confronted by men in uniforms. The video of the bathroom shows no damage to the mirror or anything else. The entire thing is an allegation from a police department trying to save face for a country of bad sports that failed to prepare for their debut on the international stage.

I will take the side of whoever doesn't vandalize property. I won't support an American *just* because they're American and for no other reason. Our nationality alone does not make us superior to Brazilians, Iranians, Mexicans, Canadians, etc.

They paid for the damages, it would have ended there but now it is an international incident an Lochte is probably going to lose a few million in endorsements, why couldn't they just shut up and move on.
