So you agree he should be executed. Why are you now arguing your own opinion from the first post??

There was no life in prison without parole in 1992. In fact, at that time it had only recently been changed from a life sentence for capital murder having a minimum of something like 15 years to a life sentence for capital murder having a minimum of 35 years. Many people felt that murder or accessory to murder deserved life without parole, and short of that, the death penalty.

I wouldn't have sentenced the getaway driver for something the other guy did inside the store. If both people were inside the store when it happened, then I would understand the sentence. But the jury obviously felt he deserved more than 15 or 35 years in prison for it.

1. not unique to Texas
2. he was involved int he planning of the crim
3. the guy that got murdered would rather be alive too...

This guy deserves the death penalty because he broke the law in a way that falls under the constitutionally approved legal requirement.

It is neither cruel nor unusual

Wood was outside the store when the clerk was shot; however, after the clerk was shot and lying on the floor bleeding to death, Wood essentially stepped over the dying clerk to retrieve the safe and other items.

No one has the right IMO to take the life of another outside of direct self defense. An eye for an eye only makes everyone blind.

He most certainly should pay for his actions but in taking his life we are no better than him.

Capital murder. Your actions led to the death of a human being. You did kill him.
