In 2011, the Republican controlled Texas legislator voted to reduce funding from the state's "family planing budget" by $73.6m from the original $111.5m. Simultaneously, all Planned Parenthood clinics were shut down, leaving over 100,000 women without access to care. Between 2011 and 2012, Texas was the only state where the maternal mortality rate doubled. How's that "pro-life" legislation working out?

They really had no plan when they cut out these family planning clinics out because of ideology, theese people are paying the price.

Thats what happens where you have religion infused with government. I sure the hell prefer a $800 abortion in place of paying welfare for 18 years followed by Prison.

What do you call the execution of a prisoner after spending 20 years on death row? A 10 million dollar late term abortion

It's actually a really nice state in which to reside.

It is very common to express mortality rates in incidents per 100,000. This makes it possible to draw comparisons.

The actual figures are here - now have a look and tell us this isn't trending badly for Texas.

According to you, every child that is aborted was destined for welfare and prison? Wow!

When did family plannng clinics become more than abortion clinics?

Now we are to blame maternal mortality not on the people, if blame is to be placed but on the lack of funding abortion clinics?

You mean that these people didn't have health insurance ala Obamacare? I don't believe you.

One could also come to the conclusion that ACA failed these very citizens.. I mean if we're just making up crap to fit a narrative, that one may as well be considered as well.
