So those Walmart workers would be making more money else where? Why aren't they working there?

It doesn't exist. Saying it does, doesn't make it so.

At least three. One each for Bill, Hillary, and Chelsea at the Clinton Foundation. As long as they are taken care of, they don't care about anyone else.

This may be news to some but the bricks and mortar stores are already facing stiff competition from online retailers. they cannot afford much higher wages. I bet half these idiots wanting bricks and mortars to pay more shop at Amazon.

The illegals in this country cost our government 13 billion dollars a year. We have one candidate that thinks we need more of these people. I agree both problems need to be fixed and they both started in Arkansas. Get the picture!

So what higher paying job would Walmart employees be working in lieu of Walmart? I always assumed that they took the job at Walmart because they couldn't get anything else---not that they felt a calling to work at Walmart for that amount of money.

This reminds me of my in-laws who didn't help my husband and me during grad school when we were struggling, even though my FIL made a very comfortable income as a high-ranked government employee. My in-laws said that the "problem" was that he could be making more money as a private sector employee (but that he chose to work in government for the benefits, including pension). I always wondered how they knew he could have gotten a job in private industry making much more money (when his job didn't even exist in private industry)---if every government employee attempted to get a job in private industry, would there really be enough to go around?

Jobseekers waiting in line hundreds deep when a new Walmart opens up indicates that some people think that employment is better than nothing...
