So much passion screaming about communism and socialism by people whose brains have been warped by constant ingestion of right wing info-tainment.

Having universal health care is not Maoism. My goodness you are like a bunch of children screaming your heads off, making a comparison that is so completely far off that you wonder how it could come from a rational person.

Yes, say it one more time like the 5 billion other right wing parrots on internet forums "socialism is great until you run out of other peoples money"

What, it's Tuesday? Say it again: "socialism is great until you run out of other peoples money"

Humans have the natural right to any action that is NOT an initiation of force upon anyone else. Nothing you stated above occurs to free people free from government aggression and coercion. (Unless they are masochists who voluntarily subject themselves to such treatment...)

No person, group, or government has any "right" to initiate force upon any person for any reason. All initiations of force are evil and immoral. The only just form of force is retaliatory. The ONLY just role of government is as a retaliatory force against those who initiate force upon others...

"Socialism" and "Capitalism" (and even so-called "democracy" or any form of "government") only exist by widespread initiations of force upon the individual.

This is just spouting ideological dogma. You in no way made a meaningful response to my post.

It is impossible to understand what's happened with money power in the last 100 years
without reading Protocol #6.

I certainly think that the 0.1% and both parties want to make us less powerful by accumulating all of the wealth and power of this country. Why on earth do you think that we have the very poor "choices" for POTUS this cycle? Why do we import illegals and let them stay? Why do we have a permanent welfare class?

We're talking about national (federal, in the US) taxes, not local taxes. I posted Amsterdam residents' national taxes, not their local taxes. Compare apples to apples, please.

That said, are you voluntarily overpaying your federal taxes to match the national income tax, social program tax, PLUS the 21% VAT tax Amsterdam residents pay?

I'm going to guess no, because you're just as greedy as you claim the "unenlightened" Americans are.

As you pointed out in an earlier post, Americans WON'T pay those types of taxes, and that's where it gets messy. Forcing people to take care of their neighbors doesn't work out well. It works in Amsterdam because the mindset is different.
Exactly. Middle-income earners in the US won't pay up like the same do in Amsterdam, so we in the US can't have the government services/benefits that they have.

Then WHY won't American middle-income earners pay the very high tax rates Scandinavians, etc., pay? In Scandinavian countries, middle-income earners and above ALL pay the highest income tax rate. They don't just soak their rich. They soak everyone.

In Scandinavian countries, average income earners pay the highest income tax rate. In the U.S., the highest tax rate doesn't kick in until one's income is 8.5 times the average income. We're doing it wrong.

I said NO. Why on earth would I be? And I never said Americans were unenlightened. I said people in Amsterdam have a different mindset. That is the truth, is it not?

Do NOT assign words to me that I did not say or pretend to read things into my post that I never said just so you can ramble on about something. That is a childish and tiresome Internet message board tactic, and I'm not playing the game, sorry.

I lived in France and traveled Europe during my time there. Most European countries are rather socialist. I never felt like I needed a gun.

That can't be true. Everybody knows that socialists kill people. Socialists even have death panels. It's true.
