We see it over and over again. Russia, China, Cuba North Korea and now Venezuela. Big powerful government just gets bigger and more powerful. And what is the first thing they all do? Disarm the people. Would Barack or Hillary do this? She would love to. It may not be likely but it's certainly possible. I'm quite certain that the people living in Venezuela before Chavez never worried about being disarmed. But it happened.

Is our schools who teach history and basic finance a failure on purpose?) Then they can lead people to accept socialism, not realizing what it truly is? Do they know how dictators are able to gain power? Obama would like us to "Reject the voices who warn us" as he told a group of college graduates.
People think this kind of thing only happens "over there", always somewhere else. They've become so arrogant that they it could never happen here. They've become so arrogant that they laugh at anyone who talks about it. Only when it's too late will they realize what has happen.
How does it happen?:
The only thing in the way of socialism and communism is democracy. People see how you can live a better life living in a democracy and that's why they want to come here. Therefor socialist and communist want to do away with democracy so the people don't know a better way of life. Unfortunately some people would sell their soul for what "they think is a free ride" not knowing it's a lie. They don't even think enough to question why people want to come to live in this country.
...of course the PSS ignores true history while brainwashing the minions of children with their social engineering.
The US is on the last legs of protecting the Constitution. Sure, GWB and Obama took an oath to protect it and promptly began demolishing it.
Think about it. We are hearing that Obamacare is in trouble because insurance companies are losing big money because the young didn't sign up for insurance, it was too expensive. When it came time to pay money out of their own pockets they opted for the fine instead. All talk, no action. An example these kids they don't even know what socialism is.
They want socialism until the money comes out of their pockets.
Often unexpected, they have arisen among prosperous, educated and cultured people who seemed safe from socialism and a dictatorship

√ The leader's main talent seems to be excellent speakers,
√ They use their leadership skills to persuade the masses to believe their agendas.
√ Able to gain and maintain power by using violence and propaganda.
√ The propaganda.. government appear as the people's only salvation
√ They control the media and censorship to control the flow of information. (in the U.S. use of the IRS and the media),
√ Want to disarm the people
How many of these do you see coming from the left? Once in power, dictators typically do not call themselves dictators but instead choose to refer to themselves as presidents, prime ministers, chancellors or monarchs.
The inherent failure of socialism is that it always requires other people money to make it work. And when those with the money take said money away, you have Venezuela.
