So what you're saying is dog is more a homestyle comfort food? Good to know. Someone is eating those 20 million dead Fidos. Looks like it's not so much in the shadows since they have a festival for it China city holds dog-meat eating festival despite protests | Fox News It's like in the South in the US, fried chicken is a favorite food but most people would prefer mom or grandma's recipe at home rather than KFC or Popeye's.
I wonder if service dogs are taboo in Chinese delicacies?

All my relatives in China travelled abroad. Some to America, Europe, Russia, and others to Thailand, Africa...

Yes there are still many poor people, but one does not have to be elite to go to London.
But they would certainly get less bang for their buck in London and the US than in Thailand or Africa, no?

You just have to pay a little bit more.

Kinda like when you super-size your McMeal...

You need to take THAT up with China; it's those people handing out that warning to its own kind, NOT some "white" country.

What is wrong with giving those unfamiliar with an area a warning. When I used to travel to Jamaica we were openly advised to stay in the tourist area and not travel into neighborhoods.

What is wrong with the Chinese warning is that the airline isn't telling people to avoid certain neighborhoods because they are dangerous. That would be totally unremarkable anywhere: Stay out of this or that neighborhood because it's a high crime area.

They are saying avoid certain people that are dangerous, stereotyping entire groups as likely to mug or rob. That is what is ugly -- implying that tourists should avoid whole ethnic groups rather than avoid high-crime areas.

And if London is anything like most major Western cities, the big tourist areas are where much of the street crime that affects tourists happens anyway, not some out-of-the-way immigrant area full of people of color. Purse snatchers and the rest go where the money is.

Air China and the Chinese obviously don't care about PC crap. They're trying to look out for the best interest of their citizens. Seeing as how much of Europe is being overwhelmed by "refugees", good for them. Wish more airlines would do it.

Apparently, unlike our government, the Chineese government cares more about its people's safety than being politically correct.

It's likely that none of the mentioned communities care much about perceptions of random Chinese.

But hey, here you go:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Race_a...rime_in_London

Of the recorded 18,091 such accusations against males, 54 percent accused of street crimes were black; for robbery, 59 percent; and for gun crimes, 67 percent

In London in 2006, 79% of the suspects were "from the African/Caribbean community."[31]
Accusations are not convictions. What are the conviction rates?

Furthermore, mixed people are only counted as black in the statistics when they should be counted as mixed or other. Whites in the UK and the U.S. perpetuate the one-drop rule conveniently. When it comes to something positive, the individual is half-caste/mixed and when it is something negative, they belong to the minority group.

So statistics are automatically skewed...
