It wasn't just NAs that objected. Lake Oahe/Missouri River supports a very large area for irrigation and drinking water.

But that's not news. Gotta blame the Indians since most people in the US know little to nothing about NAs and can get all riled up by half-truths. Silly little mainstream media reporters.

All this could have been avoided, you know.

Water? Thought this was about burial sites and such. Well, issues can be multifaceted. Seems that as ...lucrative...as investi g in energy can be, it's not without risk. The tribes have some clout. Its been a long known fact that cutting through tribal "sacredvground" is a share fire way to start a fight. The pipeline contractor would be far better off reengineering a d being...accommodating.
