When you are a quasi-dictator with sweeping powers to silence and even murder your critics, it's kinda easy to be a branded a "strong leader."

You can say the same thing of Kim Jong Dip**** over in North Korea. He's a Strong Leader! His countrymen and women do exactly what he says, and he never acknowledges any criticisms either.

Think about that next time you get off all over Putin. The hell is wrong with some of you people? Now you're fawning all over a figure whose leadership style is in violent conflict with the kinds of Constitutional values you claim to support? You're not serious people. And kissing this guy's ass is not "strong leadership."

That is all.

all that matters is trying to 'get along' with them. we all know putin's history and whatnut, but there's really nothing in it for trump to denounce him and make an enemy of russia...the key is to just say nice things about putin and move on, nobody with a brain thinks anyone really believes any of it, as a COUNTRY we need to make nice...and that's what trump is doing, people are trying to bait him into denouncing putin, i dont want him denouncing putin, i want him to say putin is a strong leader and move forward...you catch more flies with honey than you do with vinegar.

So let me get this straight.

Obama is a weak leader, Putin is strong...but now you want Trump to "make nice" with Putin? And you think THAT is strong leadership? Kissing Putin's ass?

Have you thought through any of that verbal dribble? Christ, if this is how Trump actually thinks, then we're in for a world of **** if he gets in office and starts really puckering up to that dictator.

It is neither American nor indicative of good leadership to kiss an enemy dictator's ass, which is EXACTLY what Trump and his supporters have been doing.

you do realize that you can respect someone even though you disagree with the things they do, right?

Sure, which is exactly what you call "weak leadership" when it comes from Obama. And now you're defending respect for one of America's biggest adversaries.

Next, I'm sure you'll me where Trump has thus far ever stood up to Putin and disagreed with him on anything.

In general, it makes you look kind of stupid and weak when as a party you fawn over America's dictatorial adversaries.

The 1980's are calling, they want their foreign policy back.

The Cold War has been over for 20 years. Its time to let it go.

once again you COMPLETELY miss the point, either because it went over your head, or you are being obstinate.

putin stands up for what he believes regardless of what others think. when has obama done that? never really. putin does not apologize for his actions, or those of russia, past or present. when has obama stood up for the US? most often never. in fact obama goes to other countries an apologies for US actions even though they were justified. obama also stand up and insults the US regularly, and THAT is a sign of a WEAK leader.

I would much rather have a President that will get along with the Russian President who holds the largest competing nuclear arsenal in the world than one that will initiate a global nuclear war....what's that going to do to Climate Change?
