For those unfamiliar, the M16/AR-15 rifle series has been referred to as the "Black Rifle" for 40 years or more. Guess the Progressive types don't have much of a sense of humor

I guess that one would have to pretty offended to cut short your trip and leave town. Thoughts?

Isn't Maine a fairly progressive State? Its solid blue, so to assume all Dems are anti-gun, is pretty ignorant. Millions of Dems own these 'black rifles'.

Well, it's mainly the Dems that want to ban them, so...

I would also submit that if a sign in somebody's yard is enough to make you cut short your vacation and leave town, you probably have additional issues.

The irony here is both this guy and BLM are making the same complaint. A too big out of control government. I support both arguments.

This pretty much sums it up. If you're that much of an anti gun nut, maybe vacationing in a pro gun state isn't a good idea.

Well, the Governor and senators say they are Republicans, but Mitt Romney did say he was a Progressive Republican, so they do exists. I think we call them the Establishment.

The State is blue, meaning the residents vote mostly Democrat.

I've seen this meme all over. T shirts, bumper stickers, you name it. I haven't heard of any one needing a "safe space" because of it...yet. We are close to CA. Anything can happen. The maps show NV as a blue state, but that really depends on where in NV you are. Up North, here, we aren't so Smurfy as down Vegas way. Very pro gun ownership up here. But even Reno/Sparks, Carson City Fallon and Elko , combined don't have the people Vegas does,. We call Vegas Little LA. As far as politics go.

Vegas still hosts some huge shooting events, and has some firearm manufacturing as well. And, I am informed that the ban on CCW has been lifted in North Vegas. Things are turning around.
