Wow this is very interesting indeed!!!!!

Global Warming? New Data Shows Ice Is Back:

Are the world's ice caps melting because of climate change, or are the reports just a lot of scare mongering by the advocates of the global warming theory?

Scare mongering appears to be the case, according to reports from the U.S. National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) that reveal that almost all the allegedly “lost” ice has come back.

A NOAA report shows that ice levels which had shrunk from 5 million square miles in January 2007 to just 1.5 million square miles in October, are almost back to their original levels.

Moreover, a Feb. 18 report in the London Daily Express showed that there is nearly a third more ice in Antarctica than usual,

challenging the global warming crusaders and buttressing arguments of skeptics who deny that the world is undergoing global warming.

The Daily express recalls the photograph of polar bears clinging on to a melting iceberg which has been widely hailed as proof of the need to fight climate change and has been used by former Vice President Al Gore during his "Inconvenient Truth" lectures about mankind’s alleged impact on the global climate.

Gore fails to mention that the photograph was taken in the month of August when melting is normal. Or that the polar bear population has soared in recent years.

All one needs to do is go outside to realise there isnt global warming. Weather patterns have changed, but that doesnt mean that the sky is falling..

Anyone have a photo of that polar bear holding on for dear life?

Inthe endit doesn't matter becuase we can't do anything that will stop anyway. If this is true then there are going to be alot of university scientist that are going to miss the funding they were hoping to get.Follow the money in science as everything else.

There's a difference between climate and weather. Furthermore, both Newsmax and the cited source material (The London Daily Express) are tabloids with noted conservative leanings.

Would it kill us all to cut out wasteful practice and reliance on foreign oil? Would it be the end of the world to live a little "greener"? Thousands of scientists around the world say global warming is a reality and a danger, but even if they are all full of crap, we'll be better off if we can live a little cleaner.

Newsmax....wonderful "news" source.

Anyway, Antarctica is different from Greenland folks. The concern is for the ice sheet in Greenland, not Antarctica. Scientists have never claimed that the ice Antarctica is melting; in fact I have heard some measurements saying that it is increasing in some places.

Anyway, I realize that people who read Newsmax probably didn't do to well in elementary geography so I will excuse you this one time. You might want to invest in a globe though.

Of course! All one needs to do is step out in the backyard to get a 100% accurate picture of global conditions and what the trend has been over several centuries.

Just WHAT are these silly scientists thinking?

Using a few hundred or even a few thousand years of "data" or "climate models" to prove (without question by some) that we are causing global warming is ridiculous as our time line is 4.5 billion years. Just another fleecing expedition....we will move along soon. The earth warms, the earth cools, and we get taxed and told how to live.
