Game over.

Yes. That mayor is a great role model. Beating a rude person to a pulp is warranted for having a pie thrown at him.

Yea violence!

Prosecutors will review the case, including the mayor's reaction, after receiving the police reports, likely on Friday, district attorney spokeswoman Shelly Orio said.

"Whether you're hit in the face with a pie or a fist, you've been assaulted and you're generally allowed to respond with similar force," said Rory Little, a former litigator and professor at University of California Hastings College of the Law.

Johnson's response "probably is not a disproportionate reaction, though it might not be the reaction we want our public officials to have," Little said

So what was he supposed to do? Order a pie and wait?

Moral of the story: Don't get into a pie fight with a man who played professional sports.

Cool Pie thrower picks the wrong mayor to hit with a pie!

From the OP's link:

"Thompson, a one-time activist with Occupy Sacramento, was charged with felony assault of a public official. A booking photo, obtained by East Bay Express, shows Thompson with a cut above his eye, dried blood, bruising and stitches."

Picking a fight with a relatively young and still fit former pro athlete is NOT a good plan.

Another story with a happy ending.

Reminds me of when Buzz Aldrin was approached by some idiot that accused Mr. Aldrin of 'faking' the moon landing. Got in his face. Buzz, although advanced years, gave the idiot a good slug to the face. Idiot filed suit. Judge said idiot was asking for it, and dismissed.

If true that is BS, accusing someone of faking the moon landing or being otherwise annoying does not provide justification for a physical assault.

You're way late for that bus. It left the station years ago. And Buzz did well.

Some people just need to be punched in the mouth, if you step up to an old man named Buzz and start mouthing off you should expect to eat some knuckles.

Well, Johnson and his wife have been described as a modern day couple like Bill and Hillary, now that something one can hang their hat on. Along with fondling a 16 yr old girl.......what a man!
