Anti-elite? I can see that, but for me the BIGGER problem is the continual erosion of our Constitutional rights.

No I just see thousands of idiots getting run over by trucks and cars as they cross an intersection peering down into their electronic devises...People are so separated from reality and living in the virtual world - that there is no need for a revolution to over throw a system.....People are so unaware of the real world that those in the real world will rule them while they live in la la digital heaven.
Your thinking is scary because I don't know what you refer to when you say "communism will be run out of this nation". I know you are referring to something, but I don't know what since there is no "communism" in this country.

Does this country not forcibly take from some to give to others? And isn't it also true that not every able-bodied worker under the retirement age of 65+ is expected to contribute proportionally? Both are forms of communism, so yes, we DO have communism in this country.

Things were much worse in the thirties. I don't see a split because the red states are the ones that need the social welfare money much worse than the blue states.
By elite, do you mean the limousine liberals or the billionaires? The limousine liberals are a joke. They pretend to bleed from the heart but they will never betray the hand that feeds them plenty. The billionaires are well protected and they sometimes live in areas that are not even accessible by road.
Even liberals like me know that Communism is a joke and true Socialism is not workable. However, coaxing the European Union to contribute more to their common defense could give the American people a better deal. This would allow America to focus on the Pacific.
When it can no longer maintain its bloated warfare and welfare state, I see the american empire collapsing (as they do). Few shots will be fired.
There will be a brief respite from tyranny until the next violent gang takes over.
When? Who knows, but I hope to live long enough to see it happen.
