Most of the people talking as if they have no idea, that we live in an environment with an atmosphere, and that atmosphere is impacted by what we do and what we put into it.

tiny is the impact of man, to think otherwise is the height of arrogance and ignorance.

You have no idea of the quantity or volume, (which ever term suit's) of what we put in the atmosphere. The oceans are large too, but we've found a ways to pollute that as well, here's one example

because you can't always physically see the exhaust fumes and other things we do that release toxins of many sorts, does not mean it is not there.

Guess, you don't remember when they changed from 'Freon" as a basic, and went to R12 and etc, because of ozone depletion. If you think the Space Shuttle does not blast a hole as it roars into space, its only because you don't grasp what is thrust, nor of the tornado force winds being put out by 1000's of jet planes per day.

What you sound like is more Republican Denial Mentality than one who is speaking from any level of awareness as to what truly exist. The world is much bigger than the city or town or country side in which you live.

Maybe you have not considered that a single micro-organism can too contaminate your whole body and your body is millions of times bigger than micro-organisms.

The ignorance is yours....

There are over 7 billion of us and our technology has a history of polluting the air, oceans, rivers and lakes not to mention the mess we make on land...We are the only creature alive that is destroying the only home we have, and if we don't smarten up we'll destroy ourselves as well.

Thank you.....

It's really sad, the ignorance that has been brought to full display behind the deplorable's Trump has wound up.... It's embarrassing to America, to have such ignorance publicly displayed not only by some of the commentator's, and also....by the person leading the Republican Charge of Madness on a National Stage, which is broadcast Internationally.

By the way there is already a lot being done to address the problem.. https://www.theguardian.com/environm...5-report-shows

On a personal note...I recently bought a 2017 Subaru Forester after my 2007 was totaled...It is a partial zero emissions vehicle (PZEV) with a constant velocity transmission. It's fuel economy is about 40% better than the 2007. Many new cars are also so equipped...

A partial zero emissions vehicle, in the United States, is an automobile that has zero evaporative emissions from its fuel system, has a 15-year (or at least 150,000-mile) warranty on its emission-control components, and meets SULEV tailpipe-emission standards. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Partia...ssions_vehicle

The PZEV classification ends after the 2017 model year when the industry will begin working PZEV technology into all cars sold nationally to meet the Environmental Protection Agency's phase-in of the Tier 3 Vehicle Emissions and Fuel Standards Program.

The Green Cars You Never Hear About
My 69 Shelby GT 350 might get 10 miles to the gallon cranking out close to 500 hp.

oh i do remember when teh government forced the auto industry to change over from R12 to R134a. i also know the reason wasnt due to any noble effort to "fix" the so called ozone hole, which by the way is located over antarctica, and is a natural opening that changes size with the seasons.

the real reason is that dupont held the patents for R12, and they were running out. and since the government would not extend the patents on R12, dupont developed R134a so they could continue to make huge amounts of money in their refrigerant division. dupont also got the government to make the production of R12 illegal in this country. R12 is still made in other countries by the way, including india and mexico.

now there a rumors of R134a going the way of R12, and being replaced by another refrigerant, R1234f(iirc). and why is this? once again nothing so noble as the environment, but rather once again the patents on R134a are running out. when the government requires one be certified to handle R134a, you will know the patents are just about out, and R134a will end up on the scrap heap of history.

as for CO2, that particular gas makes up about .004% of the atmospheric gases, and man puts out less than .4% of the total amount of CO2 that goes into the atmosphere each year. so tell me again how much impact man really has.
