The 1994 elections resulted in Republicans gaining 54 House and 9 U.S. Senate seats. When the Republicans gained this majority of seats in the 104th Congress, the Contract was seen as a triumph by party leaders such as Minority Whip Newt Gingrich, Dick Armey, and the American conservative movement in general.Content of the Contract · Implementation of the Contract
One of the main reasons Clinton had awesome jobs numbers is because the tech boom and internet took off right around the time he got elected. I remember I was there for it, it was like a whole new world. You could get a 2 year degree from a tech school and have a job the day after graduation. Look at the field now a degree doesn't even help and you're competing against people working out of a electric powered straw hut In India that will work for 3 bucks an hour.

Then the whole industry crash in a splendid ball of self destruction.
Clinton Created More Jobs than Reagan + Bush1 + Bush2 COMBINED! Plus you could almost add in all of Ford's jobs also. Democrat Presidents have always been the best Job Creators. President Bill Clinton was the Best in History!!! http://s9.postimg.org/y9cj3bowv/Jobs_President.jpg
Republicans are horrible at economics! Just look at their average GDP!
GDP, like your posts, is meaningless. Congress should be the focus of your charts if you had a clue. One can point to individual bills that the president supported, like Nafta, and how it hurt our economy.
Yea No Bama has more people who have gave up finding real jobs and our Economy has turned in lower wages and PT. On top of outrageous cost of OBAMA Care!

Bill was lucky enough to be in office during the .com boom, nothing more.
People give Presidents and their administrations WAY too much credit with how the economy performs, especially in the modern age.

Clinton benefited from the millions of jobs created by the internet explosion which Reagan set the table for by opening up ARPANET for commercial purposes... contrary to Gore's claim of having invented it.

Exactly!
If anything job expansion comes after a Republican President leaves office. After a Democrat leaves the Republican is left with the mess and has to clean it up, only to do the whole thing over again.
Clinton repealed Glass-Steagall, GWB was blamed for the fallout. Obama still blames GWB for his own failures, and now they want to shove another Clinton down our throats. Screw that!
