Why, why, why are Americans putting up with this?
Trump seems to be the only one addressing this. It should be nonpartisan.
American workers should come first before immigrants.

Quote:

"Do the math: In the last 12 months, jobs held by immigrants have increased five times as fast as those held by US-born workers. The American labor force is being dispLaced at a rapid pace.

To add insult to injury, some pink-slipped workers are being forced to train low-wage replacements after they’ve been fired. Last year, Walt Disney World in Orlando, Fla., fired 250 tech workers and then demanded they spend their final weeks on the job teaching their replacements from India.

Since November 2007, jobs belonging to native-born workers have declined by 1.5 million, while jobs held by immigrants (legal and illegal) have grown by 2 million. In the last year alone, employment by native-born American workers inched up a meager 1 percent. Immigrant employment shot up 5 percent."

I see it and I agree with you. Although be prepared for the "they are doing the jobs Americans don't want" or "they are more qualified " crew to debate your post.

Follow me here: the native-born population is getting older. More native-born people are retiring than are entering the work force. So it's not surprising that the number of jobs held by natives are not increasing.
The immigrant population is growing. They tend to be younger. So it's not surprising that the number of jobs held by immigrants is increasing.
None of this means that immigrants are taking jobs from natives. It is a classic misuse of statistics.

Let me just shred this response to pieces right now.

As far back as 2013 corporations were laying off thousands of American citizens and writing Congress demanding immigration reform so that they can hire foreign workers.

Companies lay off thousands, then demand immigration reform for new labor | Washington Examiner

Dell, HP, Cisco, Disney, ToysRUs, Chase, etc., etc., etc., are firing American citizens to bring in H1B visa workers or other foreign workers.

Disney employees actually sued Disney for collusion when they were fired and had to train their foreign replacements. Does the guy in this article look like he is part of the older/aging population? He actually testified before Congress about it, which was a total waste of time. They could care less.

Employers must show that no US workers are available for hiring for certain jobs. They must advertise and try to get US workers, but they advertise in papers across the country so no one will respond, which is just one of the many tricks employers use to be able to NOT hire US workers.

Some Tech Companies Find Ways Not To Hire Americans : NPR

Some employers have been arrested because of it, but it is a big joke. The law is not enforced.

This Administration's immigration plans hurt all American citizens, but mostly blacks.

Obama's immigration plan would hurt black workers: Civil-rights commissioner - Washington Times

From the White House's own website, they are seeking corporate sponsorship of refugees which would allow an influx of refugees in excess, with no limits, to the cap currently placed upon this administration. They want them to employ, enable and educate refugees, instead of helping American citizens. Take a look at the long list of major corporations only too happy to replace American citizens with foreign workers.

Finally, Merkel's argument that bringing in a million refugees was necessary to replace an aging population in Germany has seriously backfired. Her party is seriously losing ground, citizens are being assaulted, she is on record apologizing for what she did to her citizens and is shipping out refugees or paying them to leave.

I hope you will retract your misstatement that the OP engaged in a "classic misuse of statistics."

How can anyone vote for Hillary Clinton and continue harming US citizens in this way.

I see it every day; our lax immigration laws are destroying the I.T. sector for US-born workers.

It's happening all over the tech fields, outsourcing labor is enriching the .0001%
while Americans can't find jobs. A great number of Democratic voters either
do not work (permanent welfare class), or are in unions (protected class), so
the job losses simply don't matter to their lives.

Today the White House is announcing a Call to Action for the U.S. private sector to stand with the Administration and make new, measurable and significant commitments that will have a durable impact on refugees residing in countries on the frontlines of the global refugee crisis and in countries of resettlement, like the United States.

In addition to contributing billions of dollars to meet the immediate humanitarian need of displaced people and planning to welcome 85,000 refugees this year, the United States is rallying other countries to step up their efforts.

On September 20, President Obama will host the Leaders’ Summit on Refugees at the UN for countries that have made new and significant commitments to increase support for UN humanitarian appeals; create greater opportunities for legal resettlement; and enact policies that allow refugees to be self-reliant.

What are we going to do with this ever increasing number of low skilled workers in a society that will soon be utilizing robotics and AI more and more? All these immigrants just to vote Democrat. It's a tragedy. They will eventually have to be all kicked out.
