the conditions are ripe for a fight... well the US got more help ISIS left Mosul and went to help fight for the US in Syria... mean while Putin wont allow the US to play bully...
US should not have supported the Arab Spring either. It was a movement to topple dictators with Islamist Governments. The Obama Admin like the other Islamophilic Democrats were happy to comply.
The Arab Spring in Syria is stuck in a loop. Let the Arabs keep at it. It is none of our business to get involved.
The only group that US should aid are the Infidels stuck in these countries that Islam is currently occupying.

Did you mean?
The Arab Spring brought down dictators and were replaced with Islamist Governments.
That is what I believe you meant, your post almost sounded at first like it brought down dictators that were Islamist.
No! We messed up Iraq because we removed Saddam. In countries like Iraq or Syria you need strong leaders because they have so many radical groups. The mister nice guy isn't going to cut the mustard. Assad is probably the best chance Syria has for peace; even is we refuse to acknowledge the fact.
Has anybody really looked at all the conflicts that President Obama has us involved in? His total is something around eight hot wars, sixty plus interventions with special ops, retaliation in Yemen with cruise missiles, sparing with North Korea and China, and now Russia, loosing the Philippines to the Chinese and the list goes on. Is this his view of what a peace loving, environmentalist, Noble Peace Prize winning liberal does to claim his fame?

This. Saddam was a SOB but the ISIS leaders would have been on meat hooks long before they touched a single Yadzadi.
They need to leave Assad the eff alone. Get him to cut a deal with the Kurds and be done with it.
OTOH if I were president this would be a golden opportunity. Push them all into Syria. Let the Russians and Syrians surround all the ISIS guys and well... I didnt see a thing. yes I know, Im a barbarian.

This is sad, but alas it is true. Assad's Syria was multifaith and multicultural if not exactly free. Now we have another sectarian mess that has crossed the border to Iraq and their mess.
We need to support peace, only peace
- that means we stop supplying weapons to our preferred players - including Israel
- that means we need to stop with the proxy fights on behalf of our allies
- that means greater humanitarian support and reliance on the UN - not great but better than what he have now.
The middle east is a tar pit of allegiances; once your there it is hard to get out. Okay, if I were President I would continue support for the Kurds but no one else.
