Another little known fact. The top two countries where refugees to the USA are coming from, in this order are: Myanmar and DR Congo. Syria ranks 3rd.

They usually always settle refugees in poor neighborhoods. Many of them rely on public housing, which is why they are settled there.

FWIW, St. Louis also got a lot of refugees from Croatia/Serbia/Bosnia after that war in the 1990s. They have slowly revived the area that they initially settled.

Pretty interesting that the list is comprised of primarily Muslim refugees? Muslims must need more help then other people around the globe? Not like Obama would have a religious bias

Bernie's little white Vermont will be getting more refugees than anywhere in New England. Maybe they will all open country inns and make maple syrup.

While that is a "bad" area of St Louis, there are much worse areas to the east and northeast. The city of Wellston immediately to the west is having a slow recovery from a pretty bad two decades of decline (and has a ton of federal grant money coming into it).
If the Syrian refugees stay, I would not be surprised to see a resurgence of the area similar to Bevo Mill.

Interesting. I thought Clinton and Obama were just going to allow the women and children, but there is just as many males, if not more in those pictures. I wonder what the true ratio is.

They have nothing to complain about, there are areas much worse than that it STL, LOL! They should be thankful if anything.

Will note I find it interesting that many of you are bringing up black people and racism of Syrians against black people when that was not referenced in the article from the local CBS affiliate in St. Louis...

Keep in mind that the mass shooting here in San Bernardino was most likely fomented by Tashfeen Malik, Syed's so-called "wife" who was a Sunni extremist plant. Children are a favored delivery system because westerners see them as harmless angels; Women, children, men, makes no difference in reality.
