I'm a middle class (though blue collar) Democrat and I voted for Clinton
Being middle class and Dem is not enough. If a Dem wants the Democrat party to represent them they need to be a non citizen and/or criminal. That's been made quite clear.
People must be a costumer of a government institution at some time in their life.
Mental or criminal institution gets priority.

Then how do those of you over in Left Field mange to convince the average white working-class voter that (s)he still has "skin in the game"?
All you can do is continue to beat the broken drum that "rich Republicans" are "exploiting" us, and that there's a large pile of money -- somewhere -- that will allow us all to live better if you and your thug allies can "redistribute" it.
That is the real "hogwash" being peddled to the ignorant -- and the only way you can perpetuate it is to continue to turn out criminal, "illegal" and faux "homeless" losers to shore up your failing coalition.

There is no cap on the Medicare tax.
And the only reason there's a cap on the tax for SS is because there's a cap on SS benefits. Everyone but the low-income currently LOSE money on SS. They get back LESS than they pay in SS tax. Welcome to the club. The same will happen to you.
Age discrimination has been rampant long before Trump was elected. I think we should email the White House to ask for his administration to address this problem the same way they've done with racial and disabilities discrimination. Maybe give a tax cut to companies employing people on Social Security. Even part time work would be welcomed by many.
