I can only assume that these types of people know very well in this internet day and age that such acts are offensive, but still do it anyways due to their narcissism and need for attention. They enjoy the controversy and the bickering back and forth between those critical and those who think it's PC gone amok (even though the concept of blackface has been considered offensive for more than half a century).

And this maroon has the audacity to claim he didnt know blackface was offensive (as if the national news of multiple incidents of students doing blackface never existed).

By now, we would be naive to expect Halloween to come and go without an offensive, racist costume showing up on social media. One student at the University of Central Arkansas (UCA), though, has gone above and beyond this year. Charles “Brock” Denton, a sophomore and member of Sigma Tau Gamma, attended a Halloween party thrown by his fraternity on Friday wearing a Bill Cosby costume, according to the Daily Mail. As if dressing as an alleged serial rapist was not enough, the student completed his look with — you guessed it — blackface.

As you try to wrap your mind around the many distasteful elements on display here, consider this: Denton claims he had never heard of “blackface” or its racist history and implications, according to the article. UCA, however, refused to accept Denton’s ignorance as a valid excuse.

To his defense he would look rather silly going as Bill Cosby with a white face.

Um...who cares? Can't get too excited about what some college kid wore for a costume. At least he wasn't out rioting and looting with BLM. Come to think of it, a better costume would be one with a BLM t-shirt, a big-screen TV over the shoulder...and blackface.

Oh look, another person who lacks any common sense, creativity and originality and decides to dress up as a minority. And, for the icing on the cake, an accused serial rapist.

I'm sure their dumb*** parents will act baffled and shocked their child could EVER do something like this.

I'm also sure the usual suspects will be along soon to defend this trash, you know, because bird of a feather.

Exhibit A of my previous post.

FYI, you have a sick obsession with BLM, considering you bring them up when the topic has absolutely nothing to do with them.

So in your perpetual state of being offended would it be different if a white person wore a Bill Cosby mask? How about if a black person wore a Trump mask?

Or are we just offended at the use of theatrical makeup. Or is it the color of the theatrical makeup. Or is it because 100 years ago white actors used black theatrical makeup to portray black people. Or is it because decades ago black people in the theater were not portrayed in a positive light so we cant portray black people now.

Can men dress up as women for Halloween? Women weren't exactly portrayed in a positive light in the past. What about witches, Indians? I'm confused. Should I be offended?
OMG my friends little girl went as Minnie Mouse. She is white, Minnie Mouse is black!

Sincere question:

The movie "Soul Man" from the 80's with C Thomas Howell.

Was THAT also offensive?

If the answer is yes then is Eddie Murphy's "White Like Me" sketch also offensive?

Or perhaps the Wayans Brothers' "White Chicks" movie? Also offensive?

Why or why not ?

Nobody cares!

Find a safe space and rock yourself to sleep. If you can't deal with this sort of thing, you have no business being around people and need a special room with pads to keep you safe.

,

It's okay when it's the other way around. It's considered comedy then. Just like use of the "N" word, because it's their word.
