I don't think its his differing opinion that is catching heat, its the fact that he's apparently so out of it that he forgot that he was onstage yelling Black Lives Matter just a few months ago, and that he's made quite a few songs about police brutality. HE doesn't seem to know what he thinks, and he's an embarrassment to hip hop culture in the process...drugs will do that to you.

Just another celebrity to check off the list. He pretends to not know what BLM is, but he shouted "Black Lives Matter!" at Tidal not too long ago.

https://youtu.be/H0fRxI1zaOg

He then says that basically since he's rich, that means Blacks are doing just fine. Wow, REALLY? And the issues we face have nothing to do with you because you're rich, Wayne? FOH with that.

at its finest, right up there with Stacey Dash, Raven Symoné, Ben Carson, Charles Barkley, Bow Wow, and a few others. A complete embarrassment.

Agreed, he was clearly on lean during that interview--wasn't even acting fully coherent.

Yup, this thread is amusing--lil Wayne sounded stupid as h***. How is he going to be disconnected from the very content within his music lol--singing about street life, then admitting he can't relate, shouting Black lives matter at a recent concert, then a month later saying he can't relate to it??? Foh with his fake a$$. I'm glad that he's being called out, and I hope his fans stop buying his music.

Taking Back the Radio - Black Lives Matter, COINTEL of the Revolution

Maybe he found out the truth and didn't want to support them anymore. Who knows. They didn't start anything anyway.

I don't support blm as an organization either, still it was how ignorant, unaware, and uneducated he sounded that reflected on him poorly and created a distance between himself and his fanbase. He could have distanced himself from the organization without looking like a Buffoon, and perhaps we would have a different thread right now. He tried to keep this interview from being released, and then fired his publicist a few days ago because of how this tainted his image. He doesn't stand for much clearly and yes he is a coon.

Lil Wayne is an overrated fool who has hoodwinked millions of whites, blacks, and others by reaping the rewards for rapping about a lot of nothing. We have made him a millionaire.

Unless it's related to skate boarding, sex, or drugs, he's not interested. Moreover, we should not be interested.

We collectively created this beast, and now want to get offended at his ignorance?
