Assassination threats are apparently flooding twitter and other social outlets against Donald Trump. Of course going back to 2008 and 2012, there were certainly many conservatives and Republicans who were disappointed that their candidate lost and that Barack Obama won. But there was no pattern of assassination threats.

Quote:
Assassination threats against Trump flood Twitter

The shock and anger over Donald Trump’s ascension to the White House has triggered a flood of calls on Twitter and other social media outlets for the president-elect to be assassinated — and authorities will investigate all threats deemed to be credible, The Post has learned.

Trump met Thursday with President Obama in the Oval Office, with the Republican businessman calling the hour-plus session a “great honor.” Obama said they had an “excellent” and “wide-ranging” conversation, while urging all people to “now come together.”

But that message of inclusion was apparently lost in social media circles, particularly Twitter, where a simple search can reveal dozens and dozens of calls to gun down the next leader of the free world. Some posts called for both Trump and Vice President-elect Mike Pence to be assassinated, and there’s even an #AssassinateTrump hashtag.
Combine this with the riots and the extremely violent assaults against Trump supporters by Hillary supporters in the aftermath of Trump's victory and Hillary's loss, and what are we supposed to take from this?

As we all recall, the talk after Obama's victories in 2008 and 2012 was that "Elections have consequences," "Deal with it," 'The people have spoken,' 'We all have to respect the office of president and the authority of the US Constitution,' etc.

Does that not apply to the supporters of the Democrat left also? Why has Obama not spoken out against this kind of behavior? And not just Obama, but Democrats and Constitution respecting leftists across the spectrum, including here in this forum?

What's up here, guys?

I am glad someone actually sees the truth that is going on before our eyes. Everything is so lopsided and one sided, it is unbelievable.

Say something about an incoming President on social media or elsewhere, throw their ass in jail where it should be.

This is damn right disgusting sickening to the core of those people who do not have a soul.

Nope all people are not ignorant fools, we have democrat friends in the family and friends who did not vote the D party this time around, because of this very reasoning.

They got tired of it, and saw right thru it as anyone would with half a brain.

GO to another planet, if you cannot live on this one because your a little wuss and cry and whine and wimp when you do not get your way, Good Job colleges look what you created.

What's up they are sore losers, bad sports, and ignorant to the core of their whole existence. And the D party the liberal ass media bias, the news outlets, are all responsible for these losers.

Trump supporters called in death threats to newspapers that endorsed Clinton.

Both are idiotic acts by dumbass supporters. But you really want to pretend like the Trump side is as pure as the driven snow ?

Not to mention the pictures of Obama in the sights of a gun, or effigies of him being lynched . And now there are Trump supporters encouraging violence against liberals .

There were protests at Trump rallies and attacks on Trump supporters.

There were ACTUAL assassination attempts on Trump, 2 that I recall but I could be wrong, come to think of it, 1 of them the guy had no weapon so maybe he wasn't planning an actual assassination, but he did try to attack Trump. The British guy did steal a gun and tried to kill Trump.

There are actual riots going on right now. Obama's win didn't trigger riots.

Yes both sides have the crazy people, but right now, the liberal crazy people are actually acting crazy instead of talk! Big difference. Admit it. WTF is wrong with you people? Do you really really really think it is okay to threaten an elected President?

Not to those that can read the English language and understand what the phrase " both are idiotic acts by dumbass supporters " means . Evidently basic English escapes you .

I suggest you get someone to read it for you and explain what that sentence means .
