Most protesters are white high school and college aged people. Social media is being used to encourage people to join these protests. Most are not violent.

As I understand it, POTUS chooses one primary alternative residence for SS protection. Trump owns 5, Trump Tower, Mar-a- Lago, 60 room estate in Bedford NY, the Kluge Estate and Beverly Hills.
Trump Tower is especially problematic given it's in the middle of Manhattan and has public, commercial and residential space. The cost to secure and protect this space would be unprecedented and highly disruptive to commercial and residential occupants, local traffic and air space.

Most people went to work the next day and the day after, regardless of who or if they voted.
Most people are not engaging in protests. Two dozen arrested in Portland do not represent most who voted for Hillary.
The doomsday prepper supply businesses hyped the heck out of the election, predicting that Trump would win the popular vote by a landslide and then be screwed by the rigged Electorial College. They predicted an armed revolution and civil war and warned that everyone needed to be prepared as Hillary was going to take their guns away.
No shortage of Internet noise calling for armed revolutions and resistance when Hillary is allowed to take the rigged election. Some posted similar ideologies on this forum. The White Nationalist movements were stirring the pots of local dissent.
This fringe does not represent most Conservitives any more so than the mostly fragile and dissapointed protesters out on the streets, represent most Hillary voters.
No shortage of people on all sides who choose to use a broad brush to paint the other side- challenged to distinguish between a few, some, many and all.
