Jaywalking and other forms of "pedestrian interference" of a motorway or pedestrian walkway, is illegal in most municipalities.

Ahh city living, if you live in a metro you know anything can stop traffic... Nothing new!!! One wreck, one shooting, a fire. Gridlock... You live in the city knowing this,,, take the subway to the hospt. If you live in rural America, it's three towns over, ? So what the point here ?

I don't believe there has been an eight year period in this country's history that has had more social unrest than the past eight years. From the Occupy Wall Street protestors encampments and marches in every major city, to the riots of Ferguson, Missouri, to Black Lives Matter, to riots in Baltimore, then the Freddy Gray demonstrations in Baltimore, Philadelphia, NYC, riots in Charlotte, and now the Trump election protests. Through it all, Obama hasn't said a word, and neither has Biden or Hillary. Just one of the many reasons why Trump was elected, for those of you who can't for the life of you understand why Trump was elected.

Perhaps a refresher in US history is in order. May I suggest the years 1857-1865, and 1963-1971 as a start?

Really? It's a serious concern and it's BS. You sound a little butt hurt, want some diaper rash cream?

There has always been racism in our country but it was dormant until we elected a black president. And then they slowly came out. And then we had trump who just brought out the rage in racists and encouraged them even more. You think the past administration had unrest, you better hold onto your seat for the next. It's going to be a roller coaster ride.
