Priebus has been working for 3 terms now as RNC Chief to move the party forward to be more inclusive - I'm not surprised that he and Trump have a good working relationship.

Trump, Hill GOP Must Get Along and Produce — Fast
An angry electorate demands results, uninterested in ideological infighting |Rollcall

Let's make sure we all are aware of the situation - Paul Ryan doesn't like Trump and made no secret of it. Mitch McConnell was a bit more circumspect - but he doesn't like him either. Trump is a big threat to both of them - BUT - the all need each other. Balancing all that will be very tricky. Mr Trump's strength is hiring the right man/woman for the job -- Reince Priebus proved himself during the election after it was clear that Donald Trump had a Historic win in the Primary - only a fool ignores something of that magnitude. Turns out that Priebus also works well with the rest of the Trump team. Does everyone remember who Donald Trump thanked first (after family) - it was Reince Priebus - and he called him a SuperStar. That was the real clue about his importance to the Trump Train and the "drain the swamp". Priebus has never been a CongressCritter - he doesn't take a Taxpayer Salary. His expertise is in Herding and now his job is to Herd the unhappy GOP CongressCritters on to the Trump Train. It won't be easy - they are used to their soft cushy jobs.

So now Mr Trump has two men that the GOP Establishment respect and will listen to -- VP Mike Pence & Chief of Staff Reince Priebus -- both these men will be very good at persuading the GOP Congress

Beyond the leaders, Trump has to deal with members of the congressional GOP rank-and-file who had repudiated him as the nominee — including 13 percent of the re-elected House members and at least 11 of next year’s senators. On Wednesday, he received conciliatory public congratulations from five of them: John McCain of Arizona, Lindsey Graham of South Carolina, Mike Lee of Utah, Ben Sasse of Nebraska and Dan Sullivan of Alaska.
Exactly. Republicans have exactly 2 years to make meaningful changes before the next Congressional elections. The Dems strategy will be to keep Republicans divided by the left wing rhetoric you see here already. It isn't going to work. Trump is much smarter than libs give him credit for. He's uniting the party including people that were opposed to him. His appointments so far have been great.

Reince stood with Trump as he promised to support the candidate chosen during the primaries and he did what he said.

Regardless if that was the candidate of his choice. A man of his word!

You trumpers all think he is making good selections, eh? Maybe that is case but wait until the petulant child has his first meltdown when he does not get his way. There will be lots of firings in his inner circle. It will be like watching another season of The Apprentice.

He'll run his cabinet like the business man that he is. His people will perform and do what they are hired to do or they will be gone. Common sense isn't it?

Business leaders aren't used to asking or having the country offer its 2 cents on their hiring of top people. They are in the position they are in because of their decision-making skills. So, all of the pundits, so-called journalists and other politicians weighing in on his picks must be both foreign and hilarious to Trump. I'm sure he doesn't care what they want or think. He has a job to do.
