Just build the 700 mile long wall along the most porous areas of our border already approved by congress. Somehow I think the liberals would still be whining though.
Even if a wall is built, people will simply climb over it and hop to the other side. They'll need to massive manpower to catch people as they hop over the wall. This isn't any different than the need today for manpower to catch people as they cross the border.
They will use homemade rope ladders to cross the wall, and carry small nail-in cleats and nail-in hand holds similar to what is used for rock climbing.
Well , once tariffs are in place. Then yes they will. I live in Texas. I wouldn't mind putting some blood and sweat in , to secure our border form the Illegal Invaders.
Nor would most construction workers who lost their jobs to cheap, illegal aliens.

It was already built, but obviously it didn't make any difference or we would not be talking about building more.
And even More, Now that there is not a Wall, 120 million Mexicans remain Here. many of us have our visa to travel to USA, and we decide to return home to work for it. and we are not going to pay for a Wall we pass legally by flying. 120 million mexicans, don't need a Wall we just stay here. And work for Having our houses in our country with our legal system and with our Free universities, and Our single payer Social Security, Enjoing our beaches, our mountains and hills, Our Cultural heritage and our Warm Winter.
That's a matter of opinion if you just like beans and tortillas with very little variation but the point is can't we have Mexican food without illegal aliens here? Last I looked we have millions here from Mexican ancestry that are citizens of this country. If I want French food do I have to accept millions of French into our country both legally and illegally when I can hop a plane to France or go to French restaurants already established here?
