Democrat Rep. Tim Ryan of Youngstown, OH is considering challenging Nancy Pelosi for minority leader of the House of Reps. Ryan is an advocate for the blue collar and working class voters and has his roots in the steel city of Youngstown.

He thinks that deindustrialization has gone too far and his aim is to reverse it. Nancy Pelosi is a San Francisco feminist who espouses all of the ultra liberal causes and is famous for telling her colleagues that they would have to vote for Obamacare in order to find out what was in the bill.

Putting her ideology aside, Pelosi has presided over a steady erosion of Democratic control across the board.

Why has it taken so long for anyone to challenge her?

I don't know what the path forward is for the Democrats but it appears all roads are dead ends. The status quo is not going to stand, if they move to the right the fringe is going to bolt and if they move left the moderates are going to bolt. I expect since Clinton is now out of the picture they move left, don't be surprised if you see a lot of defections especially if the Republicans do not ********** up royally over the next two years.

I wonder that myself. Some of the things that come out of her mouth just floor me...

Originally from Youngstown here.

Dont know any real dirt on Ryan. Just your run-of-the-mill polished politician. Follows the line.

One interesting thing about him is that he was pro-life up until 2-3 years ago.

Something to consider if the Dems want to move away from the SJW wing toward the economic wing of the party.

There's absolutely no reason to continue pandering to the SJWs. They are going to vote for you anyways and Hillary proved that personality is the only thing that drives/keeps them from the polls. Appeal to the white working class and then just find a more charismatic candidate to give the speeches.

They are not showing any indication of a desire to move away from SJW, quite the opposite. If they decide to go to the middle they need to get their media goons on board quickly.

Sounds like he would be a good choice to start moving the party back to the middle, too bad the media and hacks in office are unlikely to allow Pelosi to lose her spot.

Because like Killary, Nancy is a very powerful woman inside the democratic party and she's very self serving, mean, and vindictive
