While the anti-gun people are ignoring thugs shooting police. No one is telling us were those guns are coming from, yet they must put more regulations on manufacturers and gun shops.

A background check takes less than ten minutes. Are you seriously saying that's a burden?? What a joke. I it stops just one person from having a firearm that shouldn't then it should be worth it to any responsible gun owner.

We are definitely seeing that, and not just with the firearm agenda.

If that is all the left wanted, I'm pretty sure everyone could come to a compromise. But that isn't all they want and you know it, don't be naïve.

No it doesn't. Shall I explain?

How many of these stupid bcg's should the average person endure over a lifetime. Right now we'll be doing it every single ammo transaction in CA and it will be a fee, a rather large fee. There is no additional safety involved with it. That is the real joke here.

Gun/Weapon control works just fine in the proper circumstances - just look at Japan, they basically have zero gun violence.

Problem for us is - for gun control to work it needs to be in place before a critical mass of guns are in circulation. With more than 300 million guns already in circulation America there is no way that we are putting that cat back in the bag, completely non feasible (it would have had to have been restricted from the start to avoid hitting this kind of critical mass)... so better to be free to buy them so that you can at least defend yourself against someone else with one if you have to.

I never said it would stop all shootings. I never even implied that. You also cannot prove that it has stopped a shooting or crime because that's impossible to prove. However if it keeps one person from getting a firearm they shouldn't have then it's worth it in my eyes.

We should bring back prohibition. If it just saves one life from a drunk driver....
