I'm not a huge Governor Haley fan, she's had her ups and downs, but I would hardly write her off as just a "44 year old woman from farmland South Carolina."
You make it sound like she's some kind of field hand.
I'm extremely pessimistic about Trump, but this would be a positive step relative to his current direction. Even if Secretary of State is a big leap for Gov. Haley, I promise it could be MUCH MUCH worse.
Wow, I completely agree. She has a BS from Clemson. Her father is a PhD in agriculture. All of her siblings are quite successful. They, and she, are hardly as the OP would suggest.
I don't believe Haley will be SoS, though she would be a far stretch better than HRC or Kerry.
I'm guessing it'll be a much more prominent establishment type because there is a lot of relation mending to do.
barely 35 years old, inherited hundreds of millions...
no experience remotely connected to government.
This is also just a rumor.
Kushner was very active with Trump's campaign, so there may be a role for him where he would need a security clearance, but lets wait and see what happens.
I'm more concerned with who he ends up choosing than who he is rumored to be considering, to be frank.
