Here in NC, GOP Senate and house are now cutting education spending in 2 Dem. counties in the Eastern part of the state, because they did not want anymore amendment's proposed by the Dems.

While Trump is being outrageous and nutty and lying up a storm, he's providing cover for a lot of reprehensible actions by Republicans.
Though Trump and his minions lie constantly and carelessly, at least some are now trying to carefully word their lies
