That means he lied to Matt, Trump hasn't been doing that, he just takes credit for things that he doesn't do. It is like putting his name on a building when he has no ownership to it, nor was the developer to build it.

Good news. I have a feeling it's just the first of many good news days.
This has already been debunked. Your Narcissist emperor is taking credit for this, but Ford already said it had no intention of moving to Mexico, and it had nothing to do with Trump.

I really wish right wingers would stop defending lies.

The issue here, Trump is making t sound like HE is responsible for the lack of the move when in reality, there was not a moved scheduled. At best, Ford decided to NEVER leave EVER based on Trump, but up until that point, they had no intention anyway though maybe figured one day they might if they really felt like it.

OK

“We had planned to move the Lincoln MKC out of Louisville Assembly Plant,” Christin Baker, a Ford spokeswoman, said in an e-mail, noting the UAW contract signed last year allowed for such a move. "Cuautitlan plant in Mexico was likely the plant for MKC."

Really?

Ford, which has expressed a willingness to work with Trump since he was elected, has been in "constant contact" with his transition team, Chief Financial Officer Bob Shanks told analysts Thursday. Ford’s change of heart on moving the MKC to Mexico followed those discussions.
“We are encouraged that President-elect Trump and the new Congress will pursue policies that will improve U.S. competitiveness and make it possible to keep production of this vehicle here in the U.S.,” the automaker said in an e-mailed statement after Trump’s tweets.

Yes, really.

On Friday morning, a clarification came from the Ford Motor Company and the UAW Local 862.

In 2019, one of the specific production lines -– the Lincoln MKC -- was supposed to leave Louisville. According to a Ford representative, everything will stay put.

"There was zero plan to move the Louisville Assembly Plant," said Todd Dunn, president of UAW Local 862.

In a statement, a Ford spokesperson said, "Today, we confirmed with the president-elect our small Lincoln utility vehicle made at the Louisville Assembly Plant will stay in Kentucky."
Ford: There was never a plan to move plant from Louisville

Now, if you can try and focus a little bit, the OP's link said Trump stopped the PLANT from moving. This is NOT the case. They decided to keep ONE line in the States, the MKC, which even if it moved, would NOT have cost ANY American jobs, because ESCAPE production would FILL THE VOID.

Now if you can pull your condescending head out, I know that. I was addressing the fact that one poster stated they never planned to move the line and the other poster stated he didn't know how Trump could effect anything because he hasn't taken office yet. I might have grabbed the wrong quote there.

Bloomberg did report that they were moving that line according to Ford, Which Ford states was a fact. Many in this thread have stated that it isn't. Im taking about the MKC. Ford Also states that they are working with Trump's transition team and I quote

So I'm addressing the posters that state Trump has nothing to do with any decision by Ford. According to several officers and Bill Ford they are working with the incoming administration.

OK, now they really, really won't be building vehicles in Mexico for export to the US...not Escapes and not MKCs.

The UAW seems pleased...

“We are happy to announce today that we are keeping the Lincoln MKC in Louisville Assembly Plant,” the statement said. “As you may have seen, our president-elect tweeted about this on Thursday evening after Bill Ford spoke with him and let him know of the change in plans. We want to confirm this change with you directly today.”

They sold 13,000 MKC's. They aren't going to build an entirely new plant for 13,000 vehicles.
